Abstract
(EN)
An ultrasound system and method are provided for detecting lesions and/or abnormalities in a heterogeneous medium. An array of ultrasound transducer elements configured to emit ultrasound signals and to receive backscattered ultrasound signals. A processor performs a lesion detection algorithm that processes the backscattered ultrasound signals to obtain an Inter-element Response Matrix (IRM), splits the IRM into a plurality of sub-IRMs corresponding to subsets of the ultrasound transducer elements, and then performs additional processing that includes performing a depression detection algorithm to identify one or more lesions and/or abnormalities.

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé à ultrasons de détection de lésions et/ou d'anomalies dans un milieu hétérogène. Un réseau d'éléments transducteurs ultrasonores est conçu pour émettre des signaux ultrasonores et pour recevoir des signaux ultrasonores rétrodiffusés. Un processeur exécute un algorithme de détection de lésion qui traite les signaux ultrasonores rétrodiffusés pour obtenir une matrice de réponse inter-éléments (IRM), divise l'IRM en une pluralité de sous-IRM correspondant à des sous-ensembles des éléments transducteurs ultrasonores, et effectue ensuite un traitement supplémentaire qui consiste à exécuter un algorithme de détection de dépression pour identifier une ou plusieurs lésions et/ou anomalies.
