Computing system assessment of geological similarity of wells employing well-log data includes receiving logs with chronostratigraphic markers, and extracting signatures from the logs using the chronostratigraphic markers. A distance matrix is generated from the signatures using dynamic time warping. Using the distance matrix, a set of clusters are generated. The set of clusters are presented with an image.

La présente invention concerne l'évaluation, par un système informatique, de la similarité géologique de puits en utilisant des données diagraphiques, consistant à recevoir des rapports avec des marqueurs chronostratigraphiques, et à extraire des signatures des rapports à l'aide des marqueurs chronostratigraphiques. Une matrice de distance est générée à partir des signatures à l'aide d'un alignement temporel dynamique. À l'aide de la matrice de distance, un ensemble de groupes est généré. L'ensemble de groupes est présenté avec une image.
