Provided is a liquid composition that can be used to form a solid polymer electrolyte membrane which has excellent early power generation characteristics when used in a membrane electrode assembly, and has excellent durability with few defects. This liquid composition contains a liquid medium, a sulfonate group-containing fluorocarbon polymer, and a poorly soluble cerium compound, wherein the sulfonate group-containing fluorocarbon polymer has an ion exchange capacity of 1.36-2.50 milliequivalents/g dried resin, the poorly soluble cerium compound has an average particle size of 1-3000 nm, and the proportion of the total number of moles of cerium atoms in the poorly soluble cerium compound with respect to the total number of moles of sulfonate groups possessed by the sulfonate group-containing fluorocarbon polymer is 0.001-0.3.

L'invention concerne une composition liquide qui peut être utilisée pour former une membrane électrolytique polymère solide qui présente d'excellentes caractéristiques de génération de puissance initiale lorsqu'elle est utilisée dans un ensemble membrane-électrode, et qui présente une excellente durabilité avec peu de défauts. Cette composition liquide contient un milieu liquide, un polymère de fluorocarbone contenant un groupe sulfonate et un composé de cérium faiblement soluble, le polymère de fluorocarbone contenant un groupe sulfonate ayant une capacité d'échange d'ions de 1,36-2,50 milliéquivalents/g de résine séchée, le composé de cérium faiblement soluble a une taille de particule moyenne de 1 à 3000 nm, et la proportion du nombre total de moles d'atomes de cérium dans le composé de cérium faiblement soluble par rapport au nombre total de moles de groupes sulfonate que possède le polymère de fluorocarbone contenant un groupe sulfonate est de 0 001 à 0,3.
