A display device that comprises: a liquid crystal layer that includes polymer dispersed liquid crystals that are enclosed between an array substrate and a counter substrate; and at least one light source that emits light toward a side surface of the counter substrate. Pixels of the array substrate comprise a third translucent electrode that, as seen in plan view, at least partially overlaps a first translucent electrode with an insulating layer therebetween. The areas of the third translucent electrodes at pixels in display regions that are close to the light source are greater than the areas of the third translucent electrodes at pixels in display regions that are far from the light source.

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'affichage qui comprend : une couche de cristaux liquides qui comprend des cristaux liquides dispersés dans un polymère qui sont enfermés entre un substrat de réseau et un contre-substrat ; et au moins une source de lumière qui émet de la lumière vers une surface latérale du contre-substrat. Des pixels du substrat de réseau comprennent une troisième électrode translucide qui, vue en plan, chevauche au moins partiellement une première électrode translucide avec une couche isolante entre elles. Les zones des troisièmes électrodes translucides au niveau de pixels dans des régions d'affichage qui sont proches de la source de lumière sont supérieures aux zones des troisièmes électrodes translucides au niveau de pixels dans des régions d'affichage qui sont éloignées de la source de lumière.
