This display device comprises: a liquid crystal layer having polymer dispersion-type liquid crystals that are encapsulated between an array substrate and an opposing substrate; and at least one light emitting unit that emits light toward a lateral surface of the opposing substrate. The array substrate comprises, for pixels: a third light-transmitting electrode at least a portion of which overlaps, in plan view, a first light-transmitting electrode via an inorganic insulation layer; and a metal layer that is conductive and that is layered onto the third light-transmitting electrode.

Ce dispositif d'affichage selon la présente invention comprend : une couche de cristaux liquides ayant des cristaux liquides de type dispersion de polymère qui sont encapsulés entre un substrat de réseau et un substrat opposé ; et au moins une unité d'émission de lumière qui émet de la lumière vers une surface latérale du substrat opposé. Le substrat de réseau comprend, pour des pixels : une troisième électrode de transmission de lumière dont au moins une partie chevauche, dans une vue en plan, une première électrode de transmission de lumière par l'intermédiaire d'une couche d'isolation inorganique ; et une couche métallique qui est conductrice et qui est stratifiée sur la troisième électrode de transmission de lumière.
