The present invention pertains to an information processing apparatus and an information processing method that can ensure an optimal communication path. This information processing apparatus is provided with: a blocking detection unit that detects blocking of a communication path to a reproduction device which reproduces content on the basis of content data; a movement calculation unit that, when the blocking of the communication path has been detected, calculates the moving amount of the reproduction device to a position where there is no blocking; and a control unit that controls generation of the content data on the basis of the moving amount. The present invention can be applied to a console.

La présente invention concerne un appareil de traitement d'informations et un procédé de traitement d'informations qui peuvent assurer une voie de communication optimale. Cet appareil de traitement d'informations est pourvu : d'une unité de détection de blocage qui détecte le blocage d'une voie de communication vers un dispositif de reproduction qui reproduit un contenu sur la base de données de contenu ; d'une unité de calcul de mouvement qui, lorsque le blocage de la voie de communication a été détecté, calcule la quantité de déplacement du dispositif de reproduction vers une position où il n'y a pas de blocage ; et une unité de commande qui commande la génération des données de contenu sur la base de la quantité de déplacement. La présente invention peut s’appliquer à une console.
