To provide a display device which is capable of enhancing display quality and a control method for the display device. The present invention is provided with: a display panel including a plurality of pixels disposed in a matrix shape, a common electrode, a pixel electrode provided for each pixel, a liquid crystal layer including a polymer and liquid crystal molecules; a light source that emits light to the display panel; and a controller which controls a voltage between the common electrode and the pixel electrodes, and controls an operation of the light source, wherein the controller applies, in a first period, voltages according to image components between the common electrode and the pixel electrodes in an order from pixels positioned in an opposite side of the light source to write the image components, and, in the first period, turns the light source on to display the image on the display panel according to the written image components.

L'invention concerne la fourniture d’un dispositif d'affichage étant capable d'améliorer la qualité d'affichage et un procédé de commande pour le dispositif d'affichage. La présente invention comprend : un panneau d'affichage comprenant une pluralité de pixels disposés selon une forme de matrice, une électrode commune, une électrode de pixel disposée pour chaque pixel, une couche de cristaux liquides comprenant un polymère et des molécules de cristaux liquides ; une source de lumière qui émet de la lumière vers le panneau d'affichage ; et un dispositif de commande qui commande une tension entre l'électrode commune et les électrodes de pixel, et commande une opération de la source de lumière, le dispositif de commande appliquant, dans une première période, des tensions selon des composantes d'image entre l'électrode commune et les électrodes de pixel dans un ordre à partir de pixels positionnés dans un côté opposé de la source de lumière pour écrire les composants d'image, et, dans la première période, fait tourner la source de lumière sur l'affichage de l'image sur le panneau d'affichage selon les composantes d'image écrites.

表示品位を向上させることが可能な表示装置および表示装置の制御方法を提供すること。 マトリクス状に配置された複数の画素と、共通電極と、画素毎に設けられた画素電極と、ポリマー及び液晶分子を含む液晶層と、を含む表示パネルと、表示パネルに光を照射する光源と、共通電極と画素電極との間の電圧を制御し、且つ、光源の動作を制御するコントローラとを備え、コントローラは、第1期間において、光源の反対側に位置する画素から順に、共通電極と画素電極との間に映像成分に応じた電圧を印加して当該映像成分を書き込み、第1期間において、光源を点灯させて書き込まれた映像成分に応じた映像を表示パネルに表示させる。
