A hydrogen compression system is provided with: an electrochemical hydrogen pump which can transfer hydrogen that is contained in a hydrogen-containing gas fed to an anode toward a cathode through an electrolyte membrane and can also rise pressure; and a first removal device which can circulate an off gas discharged from the cathode in the electrochemical hydrogen pump and the hydrogen-containing gas to be fed to the anode with a water-permeable membrane interposed therebetween to remove water vapor and/or liquid water contained in the off gas.

La présente invention concerne un système de compression d'hydrogène qui comprend : une pompe à hydrogène électrochimique qui peut transférer de l'hydrogène qui est contenu dans un gaz contenant de l'hydrogène alimentant une anode vers une cathode à travers une membrane électrolytique et qui peut également augmenter la pression ; et un premier dispositif d'élimination qui peut faire circuler un gaz de dégagement évacué de la cathode dans la pompe à hydrogène électrochimique et le gaz contenant de l'hydrogène destiné à alimenter l'anode, une membrane perméable à l'eau étant intercalée entre ceux-ci pour éliminer la vapeur d'eau et/ou l'eau liquide contenue dans le gaz de dégagement.
