This thickening composition contains a colloid solution of trans-polyisoprene having a weight-average molecular weight of 400,000 to 3,000,000. Such a thickening composition can be produced by, for example: obtaining a mixture of trans-polyisoprene having a weight-average molecular weight of 400,000 to 3,000,000 and a hydrophobic medium having the property of dissolving trans-polyisoprene at a temperature higher than room temperature, but not at room temperature; heating the mixture to dissolve the trans-polyisoprene; and then quenching the heated mixture.

Cette composition épaississante contient une solution colloïdale de trans-polyisoprène ayant un poids moléculaire moyen en poids de 400 000 à 3 000 000. Une telle composition épaississante peut être produite, par exemple : en obtenant un mélange de trans-polyisoprène ayant un poids moléculaire moyen en poids de 400 000 à 3 000 000 et un milieu hydrophobe ayant la propriété de dissoudre le trans-polyisoprène à une température supérieure à la température ambiante, mais pas à température ambiante ; en chauffant le mélange pour dissoudre le trans-polyisoprène ; puis en refroidissant le mélange chauffé.

本発明の増粘組成物は、40万~300万の重量平均分子量を有するトランスポリイソプレンのコロイド溶液を有効成分として含有する。このような増粘組成物は、例えば、40万~300万の重量平均分子量を有するトランスポリイソプレンと、室温ではトランスポリイソプレンを溶解しないが室温から加温すると溶解する性質を有する疎水性媒体との混合液を得、混合液を加熱してトランスポリイソプレンを溶解し、そして加熱した混合液を急冷することにより製造することができる。
