A device (100, 200', 200", 300, 400) for detecting the contact between a user and a steering wheel (9) of a vehicle, the device (100, 200', 200", 300, 400) comprising: - an electrically insulating support (10); - a first electrically conductive track (101, 201, 301, 401) fastened to the support (10) and comprising a plurality of first peaks (11) alternated with a plurality of first troughs (12) along a direction (D), wherein the first track (101, 201, 301, 401) is distributed over the support so that the surface of the first track (101, 201, 301, 401) adapted to come into contact with a user's hand decreases along said direction (D).

Cette invention concerne un dispositif (100, 200', 200", 300, 400) pour détecter le contact entre un utilisateur et un volant de direction (9) d'un véhicule, le dispositif (100, 200', 200", 300, 400) comprenant : - un support électriquement isolant (10); - une première piste conductrice (101, 201, 301, 401) fixée au support (10) et comprenant une pluralité de premiers pics (11) s'alternant avec une pluralité de premiers creux (12) le long d'une direction (D), la première piste (101, 201, 301, 401) étant disposée sur le support de sorte que la surface de la première piste (101, 201, 301, 401) adaptée pour entrer en contact avec la main d'un utilisateur diminue le long de ladite direction (D).
