Methods and systems for producing light olefins are disclosed. A feedstock comprising crude oil is distilled to produce a plurality of streams including a naphtha stream and a vacuum residue stream. The naphtha is fed to a steam cracking unit to produce light olefins, C4 hydrocarbons, pyrolysis gasoline and pyrolysis oil. The vacuum residue stream is hydrocracked to produce additional naphtha and heavy unconverted oil. The heavy unconverted oil and the pyrolysis oil from steam cracking unit can be deasphalted to produce deasphalted oil and pitch product. The deasphalted oil can be further hydrocracked to produce naphtha. The pitch product can be gasified to produce synthesis gas, which is further used to produce methanol. The methanol can be used to react with isobutylene of the C4 hydrocarbon stream from steam cracker to produce methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE).

La présente invention a trait à des procédés et à des systèmes permettant de produire des oléfines légères. Une charge d'alimentation comprenant du pétrole brut est distillée afin de produire une pluralité de flux comprenant un flux de naphta et un flux de résidus sous vide. Le naphta est introduit dans une unité de vapocraquage afin de produire des oléfines légères, des hydrocarbures C4, de l'essence de pyrolyse et de l'huile pyrolytique. Le flux de résidus sous vide est hydrocraqué afin de produire du naphta supplémentaire et de l'huile visqueuse non transformée. L'huile visqueuse non transformée et l'huile pyrolytique provenant de l'unité de vapocraquage peuvent être désasphaltée afin de produire des produits d’huile désasphaltée et de brai. L'huile désasphaltée peut encore être hydrocraquée afin de produire du naphta. Le produit de brai peut être gazéifié afin de produire un gaz de synthèse, qui est en outre utilisé pour produire du méthanol. Le méthanol peut être utilisé pour réagir avec l'isobutylène du flux d'hydrocarbures C4 provenant d'un vapocraqueur afin de produire de l’oxyde de tert-butyle et de méthyle (MTBE).
