Abstract

A centrifugal blower assembly includes a scroll wall and at least one sidewall coupled to the scroll wall such that the scroll wall and the at least one sidewall define a blower chamber and a blower outlet, wherein the at least one sidewall includes an opening defined therethrough. The centrifugal blower assembly also includes an inlet ring coupled to the at least one sidewall proximate the opening. The inlet ring includes a first portion coupled to the at least one sidewall, a second portion extending from the first portion through the opening into the blower chamber, and an inner surface that defines a blower inlet and extends along the first portion and the second portion, wherein the inner surface on the second portion is obliquely oriented with respect to the axis of rotation.

L'invention concerne un ensemble soufflante centrifuge comprenant une paroi de volute et au moins une paroi latérale couplée à la paroi de volute de telle sorte que la paroi de volute et la ou les parois latérales définissent une chambre de soufflante et une sortie de soufflante, une ouverture étant définie à travers la ou les parois latérales. L'ensemble soufflante centrifuge comprend également une bague d'entrée couplée à la ou aux parois latérales à proximité de l'ouverture. La bague d'entrée comprend une première partie couplée à la ou aux parois latérales, une seconde partie s'étendant de la première partie à travers l'ouverture dans la chambre de soufflante et une surface interne qui définit une entrée de soufflante et s'étend le long de la première partie et de la seconde partie, la surface interne sur la seconde partie étant orientée obliquement par rapport à l'axe de rotation.
