Abstract

A tracking device, tracking system, and related method is disclosed, the tracking device comprising a wireless interface comprising a first communication module; a processor; and a memory unit. The processor is configured to operate the tracking device in a first mode, wherein the tracking device in the first mode is configured to perform a first transmission cycle comprising connecting the tracking device to a first wireless communication system; receiving a first signal from a first base station, a second signal from a second base station, and a third signal from a third base station; determining position data indicative of position of the tracking device based on the first signal, the second signal, and the third signal; and transmitting the position data to a server device via the first wireless communication system.

L'invention concerne un dispositif et un système de suivi, et un procédé associé, le dispositif de suivi comprenant une interface sans fil comprenant un premier module de communication ; un processeur ; et une unité de mémoire. Le processeur est configuré pour faire fonctionner le dispositif de suivi dans un premier mode, le dispositif de suivi dans le premier mode étant configuré pour effectuer un premier cycle de transmission comprenant la connexion du dispositif de suivi à un premier système de communication sans fil ; la réception d'un premier signal en provenance d'une première station de base, la réception d'un deuxième signal provenant d'une deuxième station de base, et la réception d'un troisième signal provenant d'une troisième station de base ; la détermination des données de position indiquant la position du dispositif de suivi sur la base du premier signal, du deuxième signal et du troisième signal ; et transmettre les données de position à un dispositif serveur par l'intermédiaire du premier système de communication sans fil.
