Abstract

The present invention relates to novel aminoglycoside compounds having antimicrobial properties and being suitable, for example, as therapeutic agents for use in the treatment of mammalian disease and in particular to novel therapeutic agents suitable for use in the treatment of microbial infection in mammals. The present invention further relates to the use of pharmaceutical compositions comprising said agents in the treatment of medical conditions in mammals, in particular in the treatment of microbial infection. The agents and pharmaceutical compositions of the invention are of particular relevance in the treatment of diseases associated with antibiotic-resistant microbes. The invention further relates to compounds for use in the treatment of diseases whose treatment is made otherwise difficult due to antibiotic-class-related bacterial resistance and provides novel therapeutic agents suitable for use in the treatment of multidrug-resistant (MDR) infections.

La présente invention concerne de nouveaux composés d'aminoglycoside ayant des propriétés antimicrobiennes et qui sont appropriés, par exemple, comme agents thérapeutiques destinés à être utilisés dans le traitement de maladie chez un mammifère, et en particulier de nouveaux agents thérapeutiques qui sont appropriés pour une utilisation dans le traitement d'une infection microbienne chez un mammifère. La présente invention concerne en outre l'utilisation de compositions pharmaceutiques comprenant lesdits agents dans le traitement d'états pathologiques chez un mammifère, en particulier dans le traitement d'une infection microbienne. Les agents et compositions pharmaceutiques selon l'invention sont d'un intérêt particulier dans le traitement de maladies associées à des microbes résistants aux antibiotiques. L'invention concerne également des composés destinés à être utilisés dans le traitement de maladies dont le traitement est rendu difficile en raison d'une résistance bactérienne liée à une classe d'antibiotiques et fournit de nouveaux agents thérapeutiques appropriés pour une utilisation dans le traitement d'infections multirésistantes aux médicaments (MDR).
