Abstract
(EN)
An optical amplifier having a front face, a rear face and an optical cavity, the cavity having a length defined between the front face and the rear face, the cavity comprising: a first section adjacent to the front face having a bias that is controllable between loss, zero bias and gain; and a second section adjacent to the rear face, wherein the second section has a bias that is controllable between zero bias and gain; wherein the length of the first section is shorter than the length of the second section.

L'invention concerne un amplificateur optique ayant une face avant, une face arrière et une cavité optique, la cavité ayant une longueur définie entre la face avant et la face arrière, la cavité comprenant : une première section adjacente à la face avant ayant une polarisation qui peut être commandée entre une perte, une polarisation nulle et un gain ; et une seconde section adjacente à la face arrière, la seconde section ayant une polarisation qui peut être commandée entre une polarisation nulle et un gain ; la longueur de la première section étant plus courte que la longueur de la seconde section.
