The invention relates to a method for automatically configuring a new electronic device for connecting to a wireless access point of a communication network; in a first step, an audio communication channel between the new electronic device and one or more electronic devices already connected to the network is established; in a second step, the configuration parameters for connecting to the wireless access point are transmitted by the audio channel to the new electronic device; the new electronic device can then configure itself correctly in order to connect to the wireless access point of the network.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour configurer automatiquement un nouveau dispositif électronique pour se connecter à un point d'accès sans fil d'un réseau de communication; dans un premier temps un canal audio de communication entre le nouveau dispositif électronique et un ou plusieurs dispositifs électroniques déjà connectés au réseau est établi; dans un second temps, les paramètres de configuration pour se connecter au point d'accès sans fil sont transmis par ce canal audio au nouveau dispositif électronique, ce dernier pouvant alors se configurer correctement pour se connecter au point d'accès sans fil du réseau.
