The invention relates to a method for anticipating the appearance of smooth combustion in a heat engine. An angular range (F) for detection is split into a plurality of intervals (I) with an identification of the interval (Iid) in which the pre-ignition phenomenon is detected, the identified interval (Iid) being localised in relation to the lower bound (Bi) of the range or in relation to at least one preceding interval for which a pre-ignition phenomenon had been previously detected. When a first increment, representative of the localisation of the identified interval (Iid) in relation to the lower bound (Bi) and increasing near the lower bound (Bi), is greater than a first incrementing threshold or when a second increment, increasing in proportion to the difference in distance from the lower bound (Bi) between the preceding interval and the identified interval (Iid), is greater than a second incrementing threshold, the appearance of smooth combustion is anticipated.

L'invention concerne un procédé d'anticipation d'une apparition d'une combustion lisse dans un moteur thermique. Une plage angulaire (F) de détection est partagée en plusieurs intervalles (I) avec une identification de l'intervalle (lid) dans lequel le phénomène de pré-allumage est détecté, l'intervalle identifié (lid) étant localisé par rapport à la borne inférieure (Bi) de la plage ou par rapport à au moins un intervalle précédent pour lequel un phénomène de pré-allumage avait été précédemment détecté. Quand un premier incrément, représentatif de la localisation de l'intervalle identifié (lid) par rapport à la borne inférieure (Bi) et augmentant en proximité de la borne inférieure (Bi), est supérieur à un premier seuil d'incrémentation ou quand un deuxième incrément, augmentant plus une différence de distance de la borne inférieure (Bi) entre l'intervalle précédent et l'intervalle identifié (lid) est grande, est supérieur à un deuxième seuil d'incrémentation, il est anticipé une apparition de combustion lisse.
