Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Starten eines eine Selbstlaufgrenze, wenigstens einen Brennraum, dem Brennraum zugeordnete Gaswechselventile und eine Abtriebswelle aufweisenden Verbrennungsmotors, bei welchem zum Starten des Verbrennungsmotors die Abtriebswelle mittels einer elektrischen Maschine angetrieben und dadurch um eine Drehachse gedreht wird, wobei zumindest während eines Teils des Startens des Verbrennungsmotors alle dem wenigstens einen Brennraum zugeordneten Gaswechselventile solange geschlossen gehalten werden, bis die Abtriebswelle infolge des durch die elektrische Maschine bewirkten Antreibens der Abtriebswelle eine Drehzahl aufweist, welche größer oder gleich der Selbstlaufgrenze ist, woraufhin zumindest eines der Gaswechselventile geöffnet und eine Befeuerung des wenigstens einen Brennraums gestartet wird.

The invention relates to a method for starting an internal combustion engine that has a self-sustained-operation limit, at least one combustion chamber, gas exchange vales associated with the combustion chamber and an output shaft, in which method, in order to start the internal combustion engine, the output shaft is driven by means of an electrical machine and thereby rotated about an axis of rotation, all the gas exchange valves associated with the at least one combustion chamber being kept closed at least during part of the starting of the internal combustion engine, until the output shaft, as a result of the driving of the output shaft by means of the electrical machine, has a rotational speed that is greater than or equal to the self-sustained-operation limit, whereupon at least one of the gas exchange valves is opened and firing of the at least one combustion chamber is started.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour démarrer un moteur à combustion interne présentant une limite de fonctionnement automatique, au moins une chambre de combustion, une soupape d'échange des gaz associée à la chambre de combustion et un arbre de sortie. Pour démarrer le moteur à combustion, l'arbre de sortie est entraîné au moyen d'une machine électrique et ainsi tourné autour d'un axe de rotation. Pendant au moins une partie du démarrage du moteur à combustion, toutes les soupapes d'échange des gaz associées à ladite au moins une chambre de combustion sont maintenues fermées jusqu'à ce que l'arbre de sortie présente une vitesse de rotation, suite à l'entraînement de l'arbre de sortie provoquée par la machine électrique, qui est supérieure ou égale à la limite de fonctionnement automatique, suite à quoi au moins l'une des soupapes d'échange des gaz est ouverte et l'allumage de ladite au moins une chambre de combustion est démarré.
