Abstract

The present invention provides an aqueous passivation composition for the treatment of zinc or zinc alloy coatings, said composition having a p H of less than 3 and comprising: i) phosphoric acid; ii) at least one water-soluble polyphosphonic acid or a water-soluble salt thereof, wherein said polyphosphonic acid has the general formula (I): in which: n is at least 2; and, Z is a connecting organic moiety having an effective valency of n, said polyphosphonic acid being characterized in that at least two phosphonic groups are separated by an alkylene bridge having 1 or 2 carbon atoms (C1-C2 alkylene); iii) at least one divalent metal cation (M2+); and, iv) at least one water-soluble or water-dispersible fluoroacid or a salt thereof, wherein said fluoroacid is defined by the following general empirical formula (II): HpTqFrOs, wherein: each of q and r represents an integer from 1 to 10; each of p and s represents an integer from 0 to 10; and, T represents an element selected from the group consisting of Ti, Zr, Hf, Si, Sn, Al, Ge, and B.

La présente invention porte sur une composition de passivation aqueuse pour le traitement de revêtements en zinc ou en alliage de zinc, ladite composition présentant un pH inférieur à 3 et comprenant : i) de l'acide phosphorique ; ii) au moins un acide polyphosphonique hydrosoluble ou un sel shydrosoluble de celui-ci, ledit acide polyphosphonique ayant la formule générale (I) : dans laquelle : n est au moins 2 ; et Z est une fraction organique de liaison ayant une valence effective de n, ledit acide polyphosphonique étant caractérisé en ce qu'au moins deux groupes phosphoniques sont séparés par un pont alkylène ayant 1 ou 2 atomes de carbone (C1-C2 alkylène) ; au moins un cation métallique divalent (M2+) ; et iv) au moins un fluoroacide hydrosoluble ou hydrodispersible ou un sel de celui-ci, ledit fluoroacide étant défini par la formule empirique générale suivante (II) : HpTqFrOs, dans laquelle : chacun de q et r représente un nombre entier de 1 à 10 ; chacun de p et s représente un nombre entier de 0 à 10 ; et T représente un élément choisi dans le groupe constitué par Ti, Zr, Hf, Si, Sn, Al, Ge, et B.
