A subsea communication network and a method of communicating is disclosed. The subsea communication network is arranged in a topology having an A side and a B side. The network includes a plurality of subsea control modules (SCMs) each comprising a respective first side subsea electronics module (SEM) connected to a further side SEM via an internal communication link, a first side surface modem unit (SMU) and a further side SMU and a first side surface power supply module (PSM) and a further side surface PSM each connected to each SCM. At least two of the SEMs sharing a common side allocation in each of the first and further sides of the network are connected together via a point-to-point communication link.

L'invention concerne un réseau de communication sous-marin et un procédé de communication. Le réseau de communication sous-marin est disposé dans une topologie comportant un côté A et un côté B. Le réseau comprend une pluralité de modules de commande sous-marins (SCM) comprenant chacun un premier module électronique sous-marin (SEM) latéral respectif connecté à un SEM latéral supplémentaire par l'intermédiaire d'une liaison de communication interne, une première unité de modem de surface (SMU) latérale et une SMU latérale supplémentaire et un premier module d'alimentation électrique (PSM) de surface latéral et un PSM de surface latéral supplémentaire chacun relié à chaque SCM. Au moins deux des SEM partageant une attribution latérale commune dans chacun des premiers côtés et des côtés supplémentaires du réseau qui sont connectés ensemble par l'intermédiaire d'une liaison de communication point à point.
