The single-use disposable spectrophotometer described herein can measure one or more blood chemistry analytes from a drop of whole blood. A passive filtration system takes whole blood and delivers plasma along with a dissolved reporter molecule to one or more spectrophotometers which can operate with narrow band optical spectrum centered on an optical detection frequency. The spectrophotometer detects the changes in absorption of the plasma as a result of a chemistry reaction to determine the concentration or activity of one or more analytes.

Le spectrophotomètre jetable à usage unique décrit ici peut mesurer un ou plusieurs analytes de la chimie du sang à partir d'une goutte de sang total. Un système de filtration passif prend du sang total et délivre du plasma conjointement avec une molécule rapportrice dissoute à un ou plusieurs spectrophotomètres qui peuvent fonctionner avec un spectre optique à bande étroite centré sur une fréquence de détection optique. Le spectrophotomètre détecte les changements d'absorption du plasma comme suite à une réaction chimique pour déterminer la concentration ou l'activité d'un ou de plusieurs analytes.
