Abstract

An example material testing system includes: an actuator configured to control an operator-accessible component of the material testing system; and one or more processors configured to: control the actuator based on at least one of an operator command or a material testing process; determine, based on a plurality of inputs, a state of the material testing system from a plurality of predetermined states, the predetermined states comprising one or more unrestricted states and one or more restricted states; when the state of the material testing system is one of the restricted states, enforce a restriction on the actuator; and in response to completion of an action involving controlling the actuator, automatically set the state of the material testing system to one of the restricted states.

La présente invention concerne un système de test de matériau donné à titre d'exemple comprenant : un actionneur conçu pour commander un composant, accessible par un opérateur, du système de test de matériau ; et un ou plusieurs processeurs conçus pour : commander l'actionneur sur la base d'une commande d'opérateur et/ou d'un processus de test de matériau ; déterminer, sur la base d'une pluralité d'entrées, un état du système de test de matériau parmi une pluralité d'états prédéfinis, les états prédéfinis comprenant un ou plusieurs états non restreints et un ou plusieurs états restreints ; lorsque l'état du système de test de matériau est l'un des états restreints, appliquer une restriction sur l'actionneur ; et en réponse à l'achèvement d'une action impliquant la commande de l'actionneur, régler automatiquement l'état du système de test de matériau sur l'un des états restreints.
