Abstract

The present disclosure is directed to a customizable distractor for oral and maxillofacial surgery and a system and method for designing and making the same. The distractor includes a steering apparatus that is movable along the helical-shaped distraction path to create gap between the first and second bone segments, an anchoring member for coupling the steering apparatus a first and second bone segment, and a distraction drive mechanism is used to drive movement of the steering apparatus along the distraction path.

La présente invention concerne un distracteur personnalisable pour une intervention chirurgicale buccale et maxillo-faciale et un système et un procédé de conception et de fabrication de celui-ci. Le distracteur comprend un appareil de direction qui est mobile le long du trajet de distraction en forme d'hélice pour créer un espace entre les premier et second segments d'os, un élément d'ancrage pour accoupler l'appareil de direction à un premier et un second segment d'os, et un mécanisme d'entraînement de distraction est utilisé pour entraîner le mouvement de l'appareil de direction le long du trajet de distraction.
