Systems and methods are described for mirroring 3D content from a first display (which may be a handheld 2D display) to a second display (which may be a 3D display, such as a light field display). The 3D content is initially displayed (e.g. as a 2D projection) on a the first display. The relative positions and/or orientations of the first and second displays are determined. The position of a user viewing the content may also be determined or may be inferred from the position and orientation of the first display. The second display is provided with information used to display the 3D content with a size and/or orientation that preserves the original apparent size and/or apparent orientation of that content from the perspective of the user.

L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés pour l'affichage en miroir d'un contenu 3D à partir d'un premier dispositif d'affichage (qui peut être un disposiitif d'affichage 2D portatif) vers un second dispositif d'affichage (qui peut être un dispositif d'affichage 3D, tel qu'un dispositif d'affichage à champ lumineux). Le contenu 3D est initialement affiché (par exemple, en tant que projection 2D) sur un premier dispositif d'affichage. Les positions et/ou orientations relatives des premier et second dispositifs d'affichages sont déterminées. La position d'un utilisateur visualisant le contenu peut également être déterminée ou peut être déduite à partir de la position et de l'orientation du premier dispositif d'affichage. Le second dispositif d'affichage est pourvu d'informations utilisées pour afficher le contenu 3D avec une taille et/ou une orientation qui préserve la taille apparente d'origine et/ou l'orientation apparente d'origine de ce contenu depuis la perspective de l'utilisateur.
