Abstract

A system includes a surface (308), an actuator (304), and a controller (320). The surface (308) has a fluid flowing over the surface. The actuator (304) is coupled to the surface (308) to move the surface relative to the fluid. The controller (320) causes the actuator (304) to cause the surface to generate a surface wave that modifies drag in the fluid. The actuator (304) can cause the surface to generate a Love wave.

L'invention concerne un système qui comprend une surface (308), un actionneur (304) et un dispositif de commande (320). La surface (308) présente un fluide s'écoulant sur la surface. L'actionneur (304) est accouplé à la surface (308) pour déplacer la surface par rapport au fluide. Le dispositif de commande (320) amène l'actionneur (304) à amener la surface à générer une onde de surface qui modifie la traînée dans le fluide.
