Abstract

A two-by-two pixel array within an image sensor includes a first pixel, a second pixel, a third pixel, and a fourth pixel. A red filter covers the first pixel, a first blue filter covers the second pixel, a second blue filter covers the third pixel, and a green filter covers the fourth pixel. The red filter is configured to allow the first pixel to collect a red component of visible light and prevent the first pixel from collecting blue and green components of the visible light. The first and second blue filters are configured to allow the second and third pixels to each collect the blue component and prevent the second and third pixels from collecting the red and green components. The green filter is configured to allow the fourth pixel to collect the green component and prevent the fourth pixel from collecting the red and blue components.

La présente invention concerne un réseau de pixels bidimensionnel à l'intérieur d'un capteur d'image comprenant un premier pixel, un deuxième pixel, un troisième pixel et un quatrième pixel. Un filtre rouge recouvre le premier pixel, un premier filtre bleu recouvre le deuxième pixel, un second filtre bleu recouvre le troisième pixel, et un filtre vert recouvre le quatrième pixel. Le filtre rouge est conçu pour permettre au premier pixel de collecter une composante rouge de lumière visible et empêcher le premier pixel de collecter des composantes bleue et verte de la lumière visible. Les premier et second filtres bleus sont conçus pour permettre aux deuxième et troisième pixels de collecter chacun la composante bleue et empêcher les deuxième et troisième pixels de collecter les composantes rouge et verte.
