An exemplary medical imaging system includes a visible light illumination system configured to selectively emit one of a first visible light biased to a first wavelength and a second visible light biased to a second wavelength, a fluorescence excitation illumination system configured to selectively emit one of a first fluorescence excitation illumination having a third wavelength and a second fluorescence excitation illumination having a fourth wavelength, and an illumination source control unit configured to selectively direct the visible light illumination system to emit the second visible light and the fluorescence excitation illumination system to emit the first fluorescence excitation illumination for use with a first fluorescence imaging agent, and selectively direct the visible light illumination system to emit the first visible light and the fluorescence excitation illumination system to emit the second fluorescence excitation illumination for use with a second fluorescence imaging agent.

La présente invention concerne un système d’imagerie médicale donné à titre d’exemple comprenant un système d’éclairage de lumière visible configuré pour émettre sélectivement l’une d’une première lumière visible polarisée vers une première longueur d’onde et d’une seconde lumière visible polarisée vers une seconde longueur d’onde, un système d’éclairage d’excitation de fluorescence configuré pour émettre sélectivement l’un d’un premier éclairage d’excitation de fluorescence ayant une troisième longueur d’onde et d'un second éclairage d’excitation de fluorescence ayant une quatrième longueur d’onde, et une unité de commande de source d’éclairage configurée pour diriger sélectivement le système d’éclairage de lumière visible pour émettre la seconde lumière visible et le système d’éclairage d’excitation de fluorescence pour émettre le premier éclairage d’excitation de fluorescence pour l’utilisation avec un premier agent d’imagerie par fluorescence, et diriger sélectivement le système d’éclairage de lumière visible pour émettre la première lumière visible et le système d’éclairage d’excitation de fluorescence pour émettre le second éclairage d’excitation de fluorescence pour l’utilisation avec un second agent d’imagerie par fluorescence.
