A system includes an electrodialysis device with a salinate chamber through which a salinate stream flows. A desalinate chamber is separated from the salinate chamber by a central, ion-selective membrane. A desalinate stream flows through the desalinate chamber. An anolyte chamber and a catholyte chamber are on opposite outer sides of the salinate and desalinate chambers and separated therefrom by first and second ionic exchange membranes. A solvent exchange interface is in contact on a first side with the salinate stream and is in contact a media flow on a second side. The solvent exchange interface moves a solvent from the media flow to the salinate stream.

Un système comprend un dispositif d'électrodialyse avec une chambre saline à travers laquelle s'écoule un flux salin. Une chambre de dessalement est séparée de la chambre saline par une membrane centrale à sélectivité ionique. Un courant de dessalement s'écoule à travers la chambre de dessalement. Une chambre d'anolyte et une chambre de catholyte sont sur des côtés externes opposés des chambres salines et de dessalement et séparées de celles-ci par des première et seconde membranes d'échange ionique. Une interface d'échange de solvant est en contact sur un premier côté avec le flux salin et est en contact avec un écoulement de milieu sur un second côté. L'interface d'échange de solvant déplace un solvant de l'écoulement de milieu au flux salin.
