An imaging apparatus and associated methods are provided to efficiently estimate scatter during multi-fraction treatments for improved quality and workflow. Estimated scatter from one fraction during a treatment course can be utilized during subsequent fractions, allowing for measurements with higher scatter-to-primary ratios. The quality of scatter estimates can be maintained, while workflow improves and dosage decreases. Scan configuration limits can be utilized to maintain a minimum level of scatter measurement quality. Patient information can be monitored to ensure that prior fraction scatter estimates are still applicable to current patient status.

L'invention concerne un appareil d'imagerie et des procédés associés pour estimer efficacement la diffusion pendant des traitements à plusieurs fractions pour une qualité et un flux de production améliorés. Une diffusion estimée à partir d'une fraction pendant un programme de traitement peut être utilisée pendant des fractions ultérieures, permettant des mesures avec des rapports de diffusion par rapport au primaire plus élevés. La qualité des estimations de diffusion peut être conservée, tandis que le flux de production est amélioré et le dosage est diminué. Des limites de configuration de balayage peuvent être utilisées pour conserver un taux minimum de qualité de mesure de diffusion.
