The present disclosure describes methods and systems for interpreting geological features in a seismic volume based on mono-frequency filtering of the seismic volume. One computer-implemented method includes receiving a seismic data volume, decomposing the seismic data volume into multiple sub-volumes, generating one or more seismic horizons on each sub-volume, analyzing the generated seismic horizons for the multiple sub-volumes including determining a first sub-volume and a second sub-volume from the multiple sub-volumes, and subtracting the generated one or more seismic horizons for the first sub-volume from the generated one or more seismic horizons for the second sub-volume.

La présente invention porte sur des procédés et sur des systèmes permettant d'interpréter des caractéristiques géologiques dans un volume sismique sur la base d'un filtrage monofréquence du volume sismique. Un procédé mis en œuvre par ordinateur consiste à recevoir un volume de données sismiques, à décomposer le volume de données sismiques en de multiples sous-volumes, à générer un ou plusieurs horizons sismiques sur chaque sous-volume, à analyser les horizons sismiques générés pour les multiples sous-volumes notamment en déterminant un premier sous-volume et un second sous-volume à partir des multiples sous-volumes, et à soustraire le ou les horizons sismiques générés pour le premier sous-volume à partir du ou des horizons sismiques générés pour le second sous-volume.
