Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a modular battery system for use in a variety of motive and non-motive applications. The modular battery system further includes at least one module which is configured and dimensioned for receipt of at least one cell. The at least one cell includes a battery cell for providing energy and a supplementary cell for providing ancillary benefits. One aspect of the disclosure incorporates use of supplementary cells in modules for the purposes of adjusting capacity or voltage, while maintaining the desired weight.

La présente invention concerne un système de batterie modulaire destiné à être utilisé dans une variété d'applications motrices et non motrices. Le système de batterie modulaire comprend en outre au moins un module qui est configuré et dimensionné pour recevoir au moins une cellule. La ou les cellules comprennent une cellule de batterie permettant de fournir de l'énergie et une cellule supplémentaire permettant de fournir des avantages auxiliaires. Un aspect de l'invention concerne l'utilisation de cellules supplémentaires dans des modules en vue d'ajuster la capacité ou la tension, tout en maintenant le poids souhaité.
