At least a method and an apparatus are provided for efficiently encoding or decoding video. For example, a plurality of different motion prediction modes for a current block are obtained. The current block is encoded or decoded based on a combination of the plurality of different motion prediction modes with corresponding weights for a plurality of sub-blocks of the current block, wherein the combination with the corresponding weights comprising an inter prediction mode and an intra prediction mode.

La présente invention concerne au moins un procédé et un appareil prévus pour un codage ou un décodage efficaces de vidéo. Par exemple, une pluralité de modes de prédiction de mouvement différents pour un bloc actuel sont obtenus. Le bloc courant est codé ou décodé sur la base d'une combinaison de la pluralité de modes de prédiction de mouvement différents avec des poids correspondants pour une pluralité de sous-blocs du bloc courant, la combinaison avec les poids correspondants comprenant un mode de prédiction inter et un mode de prédiction intra.
