Abstract

A multimodule system for continuous purification of biochemical mixtures is provided. The system includes at least one immobilization module in which chromatography resin from a resin source is contacted with a feed solution from a feed source to bind target compounds from the feed solution with the chromatography resin. The system also includes at least one wash module fluidly connected to the at least one immobilization module and to a wash solution source, wherein in the wash module, chromatography resin having target compounds bound thereto is contacted with a wash solution. The system further includes at least one elution module fluidly connected to the at least one wash module and to an eluent solution source, wherein in the elution module, chromatography resin having target compounds bound thereto is contacted with an eluent solution to release the target compounds from the chromatography resin.

L'invention concerne un système multimodule destiné à la purification continue de mélanges biochimiques. Le système comprend au moins un module d'immobilisation dans lequel une résine de chromatographie provenant d'une source de résine est mise en contact avec une solution d'alimentation provenant d'une source d'alimentation pour lier des composés cibles de la solution d'alimentation à la résine de chromatographie. Le système comprend également au moins un module de lavage en communication fluidique avec le ou les modules d'immobilisation et une source de solution de lavage, dans laquelle, dans le module de lavage, une résine de chromatographie ayant des composés cibles liés à celle-ci est mise en contact avec une solution de lavage. Le système comprend en outre au moins un module d'élution en communication fluidique avec ledit ou lesdits modules de lavage et avec une source de solution d'éluant. Dans le module d'élution, une résine de chromatographie ayant des composés cibles liés à celle-ci est mise en contact avec une solution d'éluant pour libérer les composés cibles de la résine de chromatographie.
