A glass comprising greater or equal to 30.0 mol% SiO2, the glass being free of iron, lead, antimony ant tantalum oxides, and having a refractive index nd greater than or equal to 1.75 and a linear thermal expansion coefficient α20-300, in the temperature range 20-300°C, that is less than or equal to about 65 x10-7 K-1.

La présente invention concerne un verre comprenant plus ou moins 30,0 % en moles de SiO2, le verre étant exempt de fer, de plomb, d'antimoine et d'oxydes de tantale, et ayant un indice de réfraction nd supérieur ou égal à 1,75 et un coefficient de dilatation thermique linéaire α20-300, dans la plage de température de 20 à 300 °C, qui est inférieur ou égal à environ 65 x10-7 K-1.
