Methods of firing ceramic honeycomb bodies are disclosed that include placing refractory particles on and end face of the green ceramic honeycomb body, and heating the green ceramic honeycomb body to a temperature of at least 600 °C to form a fired ceramic honeycomb body. The refractory particles prevents sticking of honeycomb-to-honeycomb during firing. A layer of refractory particles can also be used to replace a green cookie.

L'invention concerne des procédés de cuisson de corps céramiques en nid d'abeilles, qui consistent à mettre en place des particules réfractaires sur une face terminale du corps céramique cru en nid d'abeilles, et à chauffer le corps céramique cru en nid d'abeilles à une température d'au moins 600 °C afin de former un corps céramique en nid d'abeilles cuit. Les particules réfractaires empêchent un collage nid d'abeilles-sur-nid d'abeilles lors de la cuisson. Une couche de particules réfractaires peut également être utilisée pour remplacer un gâteau cru.
