Abstract

A panel audio loudspeaker includes a panel extending in a plane and an actuator coupled to the panel and configured to couple vibrations to the panel to cause the panel to emit audio waves. The actuator includes a rigid frame attached to a surface of the panel and the frame includes a portion extending perpendicular to the panel surface. The actuator also includes an elongate flexure attached at one end to the portion of the frame extending perpendicular to the panel surface, the flexure extending parallel to the plane and having a first width where the flexure is attached to the frame different from a second width where the flexure is unattached to the frame. The actuator further includes an electromechanical module attached to a portion of the flexure unattached to the frame, the electromechanical module being configured to displace an end of the flexure during operation of the actuator.

L'invention concerne un haut-parleur audio à panneau qui comprend un panneau s'étendant dans un plan et un actionneur couplé au panneau et configuré pour coupler des vibrations au panneau afin d'amener le panneau à émettre des ondes audio. L'actionneur comprend un cadre rigide fixé à une surface du panneau et le cadre comprend une partie s'étendant perpendiculairement à la surface du panneau. L'actionneur comprend également un élément de flexion allongé fixé à une extrémité à la partie du cadre s'étendant perpendiculairement à la surface du panneau, l'élément de flexion s'étendant parallèlement au plan et comprenant une première largeur, l'élément de flexion étant fixé au cadre différent d'une seconde largeur où l'élément de flexion n'est pas fixé au cadre. L'actionneur comprend en outre un module électromécanique fixé à une partie de l'élément de flexion non fixé au cadre, le module électromécanique étant configuré pour déplacer une extrémité de l'élément de flexion pendant le fonctionnement de l'actionneur.
