Abstract

A casing mill for downhole casing milling has multiple elongated cutter bases hingedly connected to a main body by a plurality of positioning arms. An operating mechanism within the main body of the casing mill, actuated by fluid flow, moves the cutter bases to an extended position. Multiple cutters fixed to the cutter bases are then positioned to engage a casing surface. An internal fluid operated locking mechanism can be selectively actuated to secure the cutter bases in an extended position.

L'invention concerne une fraise de tubage pour un fraisage de tubage en fond de puits ayant de multiples bases de coupe allongées raccordées de façon articulée à un corps principal par une pluralité de bras de positionnement. Un mécanisme opérationnel à l'intérieur du corps principal de la fraise de tubage, actionné par un écoulement fluidique, déplace les bases de coupe vers une position déployée. De multiples dispositifs de coupe fixés aux bases de coupe sont ensuite positionnés pour s'engager avec une surface de boîtier. Un mécanisme de verrouillage interne actionné par fluide peut être actionné de façon sélective pour fixer les bases de coupe dans une position déployée.
