A clutch tool includes a housing that is non-rotatable with respect to the first section of the work string and comprising inner grooves. The clutch tool also includes an inner mandrel that is non-rotatable with respect to the second section of the work string. The inner mandrel includes outer grooves that extend along only an axial portion of the inner mandrel. Further, the inner mandrel includes a torque transition area opening from the outer grooves and extending completely around the inner mandrel. The clutch tool also includes a torque sleeve comprising inner protrusions engageable with the outer grooves and outer protrusions engageable with the outer grooves, the outer protrusions being angled. Moreover, the clutch tool includes a biasing device to bias the inner protrusions of the torque sleeve into engagement with the outer grooves.

L'invention concerne un outil de type embrayage, lequel outil comprend un boîtier qui est non rotatif par rapport à la première section du train de tiges de travail et qui comprend des rainures internes. L'outil de type embrayage comprend également un mandrin interne qui est non rotatif par rapport à la seconde section du train de tiges de travail. Le mandrin interne comprend des rainures externes qui s'étendent uniquement le long d'une partie axiale du mandrin interne. De plus, le mandrin interne comprend une zone de transition de couple s'ouvrant à partir des rainures externes et s'étendant complètement autour du mandrin interne. L'outil de type embrayage comprend également un manchon de couple comprenant des saillies internes pouvant venir en prise avec les rainures externes et des saillies externes pouvant venir en prise avec les rainures externes, les saillies externes étant inclinées. De plus, l'outil de type embrayage comprend un dispositif de sollicitation pour solliciter les saillies internes du manchon de couple en prise avec les rainures externes.
