Abstract

An organ graft is ex vivo treated by ex vivo infusing a solution comprising PEG-phospholipid molecules into a vascular system of the organ graft. The solution comprising PEG-phospholipid molecules is ex vivo incubated in the vascular system to enable coating of at least a portion of the endothelial lining of the vascular system with the PEG-phospholipid molecules while keeping the organ or the part of the organ submerged in an organ preservation solution comprising PEG-phospholipid molecules. Such an ex vivo treatment of organ grafts with PEG-phospholipid protected the organ grafts against thromboinflammationand reduced blood pressure drops that otherwise occurred when reperfusing the organ graft in the recipient.

Une greffe d'organe est traitée ex vivo par perfusion ex vivo d'une solution comprenant des molécules de PEG-phospholipide dans un système vasculaire de la greffe d'organe. La solution comprenant des molécules de PEG-phospholipide est incubée ex vivo dans le système vasculaire pour permettre le revêtement d'au moins une partie du revêtement endothélial du système vasculaire avec les molécules de PEG-phospholipide tout en maintenant l'organe ou la partie de l'organe immergé dans une solution de conservation d'organe comprenant des molécules de PEG-phospholipide. Un tel traitement ex vivo de greffes d'organe avec le PEG-phospholipide protège les greffes d'organe contre la thrombo-inflammation et les chutes de pression sanguine réduites qui autrement se produisent lors de la reperfusion de la greffe d'organe chez le receveur.
