The present disclosure relates to radio network communication. In one of its aspects, the disclosure presented herein concerns a method for performing beam-based positioning. The method is implemented in a target device. According to the method, a list of transmitter beam IDentities (IDs) accompanied with corresponding beam-based Positioning Reference Signal (PRS) configurations for one or more radio cells associated with one or more radio network nodes are received. Different beam-based PRS sequences are used for different transmitter beams of one radio network node. Based on the received list of transmitter beam IDs accompanied with corresponding PRS configurations, a set of transmitter beams for subsequent measuring are determined. Beam-based PRSs associated with the determined set of transmitter beams are received from at least one radio network node, beam-based PRSs associated with the determined set of transmitter beams and Time Of Arrival (TOA) of the beam-based PRSs associated with the determined set of transmitter beams are measured.

La présente invention se rapporte aux communications de réseau radioélectrique. Selon l'un de ses aspects, la présente invention concerne un procédé permettant d'effectuer la gestion d’un positionnement fondé sur un faisceau. Le procédé est mis en œuvre dans un dispositif cible. Selon le procédé, une liste d'identités (ID) de faisceaux émetteurs accompagnées de configurations de signal de référence de positionnement (PRS) fondé sur un faisceau correspondantes pour une ou plusieurs cellules radioélectriques associées à un ou plusieurs nœuds de réseau radioélectrique est reçue. Différentes séquences de PRS fondées sur un faisceau sont utilisées pour différents faisceaux émetteurs d'un nœud de réseau radioélectrique. En fonction de la liste reçue d'ID de faisceaux émetteurs accompagnée de configurations de PRS correspondantes, un ensemble de faisceaux émetteurs destinés à une mesure ultérieure est déterminé. Des PRS fondés sur un faisceau associés à l'ensemble déterminé de faisceaux émetteurs sont reçus en provenance d'au moins un nœud de réseau radioélectrique, des PRS fondés sur un faisceau associés à l'ensemble déterminé de faisceaux émetteurs et le temps d'arrivée (TOA) des PRS fondés sur un faisceau associé à l'ensemble déterminé de faisceaux émetteurs sont mesurés.
