A pipeline monitoring system and a method therefor are disclosed. The pipeline monitoring system comprises: at least one wireless sensor node; a smart gateway for receiving sensing values wirelessly transmitted from the at least one wireless sensor node; and a monitoring server for analyzing and monitoring the state of a pipeline on the basis of the sensing values received from the smart gateway and outputting a result of the monitoring. The at least one wireless sensor node comprises: a thermoelectric energy harvesting device including a thermoelectric device having one surface connected to a portion of a liquefied natural gas pipeline and another surface connected to a buffer member in the atmosphere to generate electric power by a difference in temperature between the one surface and the other surface; at least one power storage source for storing the power generated by the thermoelectric energy harvesting device; a sensor connected to the pipeline to sense various pieces of state information; and a communication module for wirelessly transmitting the sensed state information by selectively using at least one communication protocol.

La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé de surveillance de pipeline. Le système de surveillance de pipeline comprend : au moins un nœud de capteur sans fil ; une passerelle intelligente destinée à recevoir des valeurs de détection transmises sans fil à partir du ou des nœuds de capteur sans fil ; et un serveur de surveillance destiné à analyser et surveiller l'état d'un pipeline sur la base des valeurs de détection reçues en provenance de la passerelle intelligente et à délivrer un résultat de la surveillance. Le ou les nœuds de capteur sans fil comprennent : un dispositif de collecte d'énergie thermoélectrique comprenant un dispositif thermoélectrique ayant une surface reliée à une partie d'un pipeline de gaz naturel liquéfié et une autre surface reliée à un élément tampon dans l'atmosphère permettant de produire de l'énergie électrique par une différence de température entre ladite surface et l'autre surface ; au moins une source de stockage d'énergie destinée à stocker l'énergie produite par le dispositif de collecte d'énergie thermoélectrique ; un capteur connecté au pipeline destiné à détecter diverses informations d'état ; et un module de communication destiné à transmettre sans fil les informations d'état détectées par utilisation sélective d'au moins un protocole de communication.
