The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for optimizing inverse tone mapping on the basis of a single image which are configured to be capable of reconstructing a high quality high dynamic range (HDR) image using a low dynamic range (LDR) image, and a recording medium for performing the method, wherein the method comprises the steps of: inputting an LDR image into an inverse tone mapping (ITM) operator; inputting a resulting value from the ITM operator to a tone mapping (TM) operator; comparing a resulting value from the TM operator with a threshold value for HDR luminance reading; and selecting, as an HDR image, a resulting value from the TM operator that is smaller than the threshold value.

La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé d'optimisation de mappage de tonalité inverse sur la base d'une seule image qui sont configurées pour pouvoir reconstruire une image de plage dynamique élevée de haute qualité (HDR) à l'aide d'une image à faible plage dynamique (LDR), et un support d'enregistrement pour mettre en œuvre le procédé, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant : à entrer une image LDR dans un opérateur un mappage de tonalité inverse (ITM) ; à entrer une valeur résultante de l'opérateur ITM dans un opérateur de mappage de tonalité (TM) ; à comparer une valeur résultante de l'opérateur TM à une valeur seuil pour la lecture de luminance HDR ; et à sélectionner, sous la forme d'une image HDR, une valeur résultante de l'opérateur TM qui est inférieure à la valeur seuil.

본 발명은 LDR(Low Dynamic Range) 이미지를 이용하여 고품질의 HDR(High Dynamic Range) 이미지로 재구성할 수 있도록 구현한 단일 영상을 기반으로 한 인버스 톤 매핑의 최적화 장치 및 방법, 상기 방법을 수행하기 위한 기록 매체에 관한 것으로, ITM(Inverse Tone Mapping) 연산자(Operator)에 LDR(Low Dynamic Range) 이미지를 입력시키는 단계; ITM 연산자에 의한 결과값을 TM(Tone Mapping) 연산자에 입력시키는 단계; TM 연산자에 의한 결과값을 HDR 휘도(Luminance) 판독을 위한 문턱값과 비교하는 단계; 및 문턱값보다 작은 TM 연산자에 의한 결과값을 HDR(High Dynamic Range) 이미지로 선택하는 단계를 포함한다.
