A purpose of the present invention is to provide, as a material for organic EL elements having high efficiency and high durability, an organic compound which has excellent characteristics including excellent electron injection/transport performance, hole blocking ability and high stability in the form of a thin film; and another purpose of the present invention is to provide an organic EL element having high efficiency and high durability with use of this compound. A compound having an azabenzoxazole ring structure according to the present invention exhibits excellent heat resistance, while having good electron transport ability. An organic EL element which uses this compound in an electron transport layer, a hole blocking layer, a light emitting layer and an electron injection layer has exhibited good element characteristics.

Le but de la présente invention est de fournir : un composé organique qui sert de matériau pour des éléments électroluminescents organiques ayant un rendement élevé et une durabilité élevée, et qui présente des caractéristiques remarquables comprenant des performances d'injection/transport d'électrons excellentes, une capacité de blocage de trous, et une stabilité élevée en état de couche mince ; un autre but de la présente invention est de fournir un élément électroluminescent organique ayant un rendement élevé et une durabilité élevée, obtenu à l'aide de ce composé. Un composé ayant une structure d'anneau d'azabenzoxazole selon la présente invention présente une excellente résistance à la chaleur, tout en ayant une bonne capacité de transport d'électrons. Un élément électroluminescent organique qui utilise ce composé dans une couche de transport d'électrons, une couche de blocage de trous, une couche électroluminescente et une couche d'injection d'électrons a présenté de bonnes caractéristiques d'élément.

本発明の目的は高効率、高耐久性の有機EL素子用材料として、電子注入・輸送性能に優れ、正孔阻止能力を有し、薄膜状態での安定性が高い優れた特性を有する有機化合物を提供し、さらにこの化合物を用いて、高効率、高耐久性の有機EL素子を提供することにある。 本発明のアザベンゾオキサゾール環構造を有する化合物は、耐熱性に優れ、且つ良好な電子輸送能力を有する。有機EL素子の電子輸送層、正孔阻止層、発光層および電子注入層に当該化合物を用いた有機EL素子は良好な素子特性を示した。
