Provided is a sliding component with which the accumulation of foreign matter in a dynamic pressure generation groove can be prevented, and low leakage, a long service life, and low torque can be achieved over a long period of time. This sliding component 1 is equipped with dynamic pressure generation grooves 4 for generating dynamic pressure on a sliding surface S1, said dynamic pressure generation grooves 4 being equipped with: an introduction opening 40a wherein one end of the dynamic pressure generation groove 4 in the circumferential direction opens on a sealed fluid H side; a narrow section 41 that communicates with the introduction opening 40a and in which the fluid passage narrows; and a discharge opening 40b that communicates with the narrow section 41 and wherein the other end of the dynamic pressure generation groove 4 in the circumferential direction opens on the sealed fluid H side.

L'invention concerne un élément coulissant avec lequel l'accumulation de corps étrangers dans une rainure de génération de pression dynamique peut être empêchée, et une faible fuite, une longue durée de vie et un faible couple peuvent être obtenus sur une longue période de temps. Cet élément coulissant (1) est pourvu de rainures de génération de pression dynamique (4) destinées à générer une pression dynamique sur une surface coulissante (S1), lesdites rainures de génération de pression dynamique (4) étant pourvues : d'une ouverture d'introduction (40a) dans laquelle une extrémité de la rainure de génération de pression dynamique (4) dans la direction circonférentielle s'ouvre sur un côté de fluide isolé (H) ; une section étroite (41) qui communique avec l'ouverture d'introduction (40a) et dans laquelle le passage de fluide se rétrécit ; et une ouverture d'évacuation (40b) qui communique avec la section étroite (41) et l'autre extrémité de la rainure de génération de pression dynamique (4) dans la direction circonférentielle s'ouvre sur le côté du fluide isolé (H).
