The present invention provides a biocompatible glass substrate with a through electrode, which has excellent biocompatibility, shows robustness even when placed in a harsh environment in vivo and is capable of minimizing adverse effects on a living body, to thereby contribute to the downsizing of a biocompatible electronic device. The biocompatible glass substrate (10) with a through electrode comprises a glass plate (11) which is formed of a biocompatible glass and a through electrode (12) which is formed of a biocompatible metal and penetrates through the glass plate (11). A biocompatible electronic device (20) using the same comprises: a biocompatible glass substrate with a through electrode, which comprises a glass plate (21) formed of a biocompatible glass and a through electrode (22) formed of a biocompatible metal and penetrating through the glass plate; and an electrical/electronic unit which is sealed to the glass plate (21) and electrically connected to the through electrode (22), wherein the through electrode (22) of the biocompatible electronic device (20) is provided with a bump (25) for connection.

La présente invention concerne un substrat en verre biocompatible comportant une électrode traversante, qui présente une excellente biocompatibilité, une grande fiabilité même lorsqu'il est placé dans un environnement agressif in vivo et qui est capable de réduire au minimum les effets indésirables sur un corps vivant, de façon à contribuer à la réduction de taille d'un dispositif électronique biocompatible. Le substrat en verre biocompatible (10) comportant une électrode traversante comprend une plaque de verre (11) qui est formée d'un verre biocompatible et une électrode traversante (12) qui est formée d'un métal biocompatible et pénètre à travers la plaque de verre (11).
