A proximity detector comprising: a first detection electrode group having a plurality of detection electrodes; a second detection electrode group having a plurality of detection electrodes that are orthogonal to the first detection electrode group; an oblique detection electrode group having a plurality of detection electrodes that are oblique to each of the first and second detection electrode groups; a detection means capable of detecting, for each of the first and second detection electrode groups and the oblique detection electrode group, the static capacitance that corresponds to the proximity state of the object to be detected; and a control means for executing, by switching between, a first detection mode for determining the proximity state of one object to be detected on the basis of the static capacitance of each of the first and second detection electrode groups, and a second detection mode for determining the proximity state of each of a plurality of objects to be detected on the basis of the static capacitance of each of the first and second detection electrode groups and the oblique detection electrode group.

L'invention concerne un détecteur de proximité qui comprend : un premier groupe d'électrodes de détection comprenant une pluralité d'électrodes de détection ; un second groupe d'électrodes de détection comprenant une pluralité d'électrodes de détection qui sont orthogonales au premier groupe d'électrodes de détection ; un groupe d'électrodes de détection obliques comprenant une pluralité d'électrodes de détection qui sont obliques par rapport à chacun des premier et second groupes d'électrodes de détection ; un moyen de détection capable de détecter, pour chacun des premier et second groupes d'électrodes de détection et le groupe d'électrodes de détection obliques, la capacité statique qui correspond à l'état de proximité de l'objet à détecter ; et un moyen de commande pour exécuter, par commutation entre un premier mode de détection pour déterminer l'état de proximité d'un objet à détecter sur la base de la capacité statique de chacun des premier et second groupes d'électrodes de détection, et un second mode de détection pour déterminer l'état de proximité de chaque objet d'une pluralité d'objets à détecter sur la base de la capacité statique de chacun des premier et second groupes d'électrodes de détection et du groupe d'électrodes de détection obliques.
