Obstacle detection enhancement data are transmitted from a server (120) to at least one moving conveyance (140, 141) embedding an obstacle detection system (170, 171) and an on-board wireless radio unit (160, 161) communicating with the server (120) via wireless link. To do so, downlink transmission resources are allocated to each on-board wireless radio unit (160, 161) in a transmission cycle Cn, by optimizing the difference between a distance travelled by the moving conveyance (140, 141) during a transmission cycle and a distance covered by the obstacle detection enhancement data made available to the obstacle detection system (170, 171) at a next transmission cycle Cn+1, wherein the volume of obstacle detection enhancement data expected to be transmitted during the transmission cycle Cn is determined from volume-to-distance ratio information bk stored in a database and from actual quality of the wireless link.

Selon la présente invention, des données d'amélioration de détection d'obstacle sont transmises depuis un serveur (120) jusqu'à au moins un moyen de transport en mouvement (140, 141) intégrant un système de détection d'obstacle (170, 171) et une unité radio sans fil embarquée (160, 161) communiquant avec le serveur (120) par liaison sans fil. Pour ce faire, des ressources de transmission en liaison descendante sont attribuées à chaque unité radio sans fil embarquée (160, 161) au cours d'un cycle de transmission Cn, en optimisant la différence entre une distance parcourue par le moyen de transport en mouvement (140, 141) pendant un cycle de transmission et une distance parcourue par les données d'amélioration de détection d'obstacle mises à la disposition du système de détection d'obstacle (170, 171) lors d'un cycle de transmission suivant Cn+1, le volume de données d'amélioration de détection d'obstacle devant être transmis pendant le cycle de transmission Cn étant déterminé à partir d'informations de rapport volume-distance bk stockées dans une base de données et à partir de la qualité effective de la liaison sans fil.
