The present invention provides an imaging device and an imaging method which make it possible to, even when different images are generated on the basis of light beams having different polarization directions from each other, generate images between which a difference in visibility due to the difference between the polarization directions of the received light beams is suppressed. An imaging device (1) is provided with: an imaging optical system (10); a first polarizer that adjusts the polarization directions of light beams transmitted through a first pupil region and a second pupil region to a first polarization direction; a second polarizer that transmits a light beam having a second polarization direction different from the first polarization direction; an imaging element (100) that receives the light beams transmitted through the first pupil region and the second pupil region; and an image generation unit that performs interference elimination processing on pixel signals of a first pixel and a second pixel, and on the basis of the pixel signals subjected to the interference elimination processing, generates a first image corresponding to the light beam transmitted through the first pupil region and a second image corresponding to the light beam transmitted through the second pupil region.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'imagerie et un procédé d'imagerie qui permettent, même lorsque des images différentes sont générées sur la base de faisceaux lumineux ayant différentes directions de polarisation l'un de l'autre, de générer des images entre lesquelles une différence de visibilité due à la différence entre les directions de polarisation des faisceaux lumineux reçus est supprimée.
