Provided are a honeycomb structure and an exhaust gas purging device capable of attaining both suppression of increase in pressure loss and good heating efficiency of the honeycomb structure. This columnar honeycomb structure has: porous partition walls that demarcate and form a plurality of cells serving as flow channels for a fluid and each extending from an inflow end surface being the end surface of the fluid inflow side to an outflow end surface being the end surface of the fluid outflow side; and an outer peripheral wall located at the outermost periphery. The plurality of cells have a plurality of first cells and a plurality of second cells having cross-sectional areas smaller than those of the first cells. The inside of each of the plurality of second cells is filled with a material including a magnetic body. Each of the plurality of second cells is disposed adjacent to at least one of the plurality of first cells.

L'invention concerne une structure en nid d'abeilles et un dispositif de purge de gaz d'échappement capables d'atteindre à la fois la suppression d'augmentation de perte de pression et une bonne efficacité de chauffage de la structure en nid d'abeilles. Cette structure en nid d'abeilles colonnaire comprend : des parois de séparation poreuses qui délimitent et forment une pluralité de cellules servant de canaux d'écoulement pour un fluide et s'étendant chacune à partir d'une surface d'extrémité d'entrée qui est la surface d'extrémité du côté entrée de fluide à une surface d'extrémité de sortie qui est la surface d'extrémité du côté sortie de fluide ; et une paroi périphérique externe située au niveau de la périphérie la plus à l'extérieur. La pluralité de cellules comporte une pluralité de premières cellules et une pluralité de secondes cellules comprenant des zones de section transversale plus petites que celles des premières cellules. L'intérieur de chacune de la pluralité de secondes cellules est rempli d'un matériau comprenant un corps magnétique. Chacune de la pluralité de secondes cellules est disposée adjacente à au moins l'une de la pluralité de premières cellules.
