Abstract

The present invention pertains to: a liquid crystal composition for a light-scattering liquid crystal device shown in fig. 1, the liquid crystal composition containing a polymerizable compound selected from the group of compounds represented by general formula (1) as a first component, and containing a compound having negative dielectric anisotropy as a second component; a light-scattering liquid crystal device in which the liquid crystal composition is used; and a smart window in which the light-scattering liquid crystal device is used. This liquid crystal composition makes it possible to reduce the driving voltage as well as achieve exceptional transparency when no voltage is applied in a reverse-mode-type light-scattering liquid crystal device.

La présente invention concerne : une composition de cristaux liquides pour un dispositif à cristaux liquides diffusant la lumière représenté sur la figure 1, la composition de cristaux liquides contenant un composé polymérisable choisi dans le groupe des composés représentés par la formule générale (1) en tant que premier composant, et contenant un composé présentant une anisotropie diélectrique négative en tant que second composant ; un dispositif à cristaux liquides diffusant la lumière dans lequel la composition de cristaux liquides est utilisée ; et une fenêtre intelligente dans laquelle le dispositif à cristaux liquides diffusant la lumière est utilisé. Cette composition de cristaux liquides permet de réduire la tension de commande, ainsi que d'obtenir une transparence exceptionnelle lorsque aucune tension n'est appliquée dans un dispositif à cristaux liquides diffusant la lumière en mode inverse.

本発明は、第一の成分として下記一般式(1)で表される化合物の群から選択される重合性化合物を含有し、第二の成分として負の誘電率異方性を有する化合物を含有する、図1で示される光散乱型液晶素子用の液晶組成物、該液晶組成物を用いた光散乱型液晶素子及び光散乱型液晶素子を用いたスマートウィンドウに関する。本発明の液晶組成物により、リバースモードタイプの光散乱型液晶素子において電圧無印加時の透明性に優れると共に、駆動電圧を低減することができる。
